The Role:

R&D is looking for senior developers to fill an immediate opening for a frontend JavaScript developer for a consulting position. Developers in this role will join a team in building a brand new web application utilizing the React.JS framework. Experience utilizing a web framework such as React or Angular is also required. A successful candidate will be working in an exciting, fast-paced environment and is expected to 'hit the ground running'.


- 4+ years of professional experience with JavaScript Development
- 2+ years of development with a web front-end framework (Angluar, React.JS. etc.)
- Experience with GitHub and a solid understanding of core concepts with Git
- Desire and willingness to be challenged and learn about new technologies as domains
- Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)

Additional Qualifications:

- Professional Experience with React.JS is a plus
- Experience utilizing D3.js is a plus

Events Coordinator (Crystal City) - Reporting to the Crystal City Campus Manager, the Events Coordinator will manage and oversee all events in Crystal City.  The Events Coordinator will work closely with the Campus Manager to develop the strategy and structure for a robust events program. You will work closely with the top event organizers in the D.C. metro area on meetups, launch parties, hackathons and fireside chats with audiences ranging from 50 to 500.  

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for managing and overseeing the logistics, communication and execution of all events hosted on the Crystal City Campus. You will also work closely with the 1776 Media team to plan, promote and execute all 1776 produced events in Crystal City. Data Analyst


We’re looking for someone who understands the fundamentals of data – bonus points if you’ve worked with event, social media, or app data before. The ideal future Bear will be an active contributor to the full cycle of client engagement, from data collection, consolidation and cleaning, to analysis, visualization and, finally, client consumption and presentation. We’re constantly innovating – over the course of the last two years we’ve developed proprietary methods to measuring engagement and event health. We’re looking for someone who will be responsible for adhering to our analysis framework, but also for conducting independent analyses, troubleshooting, and innovating to improve our data engines and client outcomes.

DEGREE TYPE: Undergraduate, Graduate


  • Interest, history, and drive to analyze and manipulate diverse data sets
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in R or Python
  • Need to be an Excel ninja at a minimum
  • Has a nose for data – we’re looking for someone with top-notch analytical skills, and a real intuition. It’ll help if you’re a natural problem-solver, both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience manipulating and visualizing complex data in Excel and Tableau
  • Fluency with statistics and mathematical modeling theories
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
